Stephen is a cognitive behavioral therapist who is developing a lecture on human emotion. As he struggles with his secret attraction to his patient, Anna, Stephen’s daughter Lucy falls unexpectedly for an older man. These events, and the changing behavior of Stephen’s autistic son, explore questions about human cognition, choice, and behavior.
